The 1841 and 1851 Bradfield Census Returns have now been transcribed onto to CD along with the Poor Law Apprentices. 
and include ~~ Bolsterstone, Midhope, Deepcar and Stocksbridge.

The 1891 Census covering the whole of Bradfield Parish including Bolsterstone, Deepcar, Stocksbridge & Midhope.
The Bradfield Militia Listings 1819 - 1831 again covering the same area as the Census.  This covers all males between 18 and 44 years of age and gives their occupations, residence and number of children and also whether the were exempt or available to serve the country in its time of need.

1841 census - taken on the night of 7th June 1841

The Entire Parish of Ecclesfield contains 15,150 inhabitants and 43,540 acres.
The Return for the Chapelry of Bradfield includes the divisions for highway purposes of Bolsterstone, Bradfield, Nether Bradfield, Bradfield-Dale, Brightholmlee, Dungworth, Fairest, Green, Holdsworth, Midhope, Moorwood, Onesacre, Oughtibridge with Gate, Smallfield, Stannington, Storrs, Ughill, Wigtwizzle, and Worrall; also 35 persons in Bradfield Workhouse and 7 in tents.

Note: the ages are rounded down for people over 15 years of age i.e. 18 years old would be recorded 15, 59 years old recorded as 55. 
No relationships shown. The "birth place" is recorded as "yes" or "no" to the question "Born in this county ?"
